I discovered ZCR on a track that he did with Yung Bambi, and I enjoyed his feature a lot which is why I decided to do a deep dive into his music. This is another deep dive I know I am going to enjoy because I am truly new to the music I am listening to.
“Parasitic” was the first track that came on when I shuffled ZCR’s music. It features Gizmo. At first, I was not big on this track because the intro was not what I expected, but I ended up enjoying the song so I rated it a 10.
The second song that came on in this deep dive was “Lost My Mind” which featured TrippyThaKid. The energy from this song was different than the initial vibe that I got from ZCR, but I love it. This song is a 10 too.
Because the first two songs were so different, I did not know what to expect when the third track started. But, “Coupe” is a great song, even though it is different than the two tracks I previously listened to. I rated this song a 10 as well.
“Akobai” was the next song that was on my deep dive. I liked this song a lot because of the EDM behind it. EDM is one of my favorite genres and exploring ZCR as an artist has been interesting for me. This song is a 10.
The fifth track that played was “Uh Huh - Remix” which also featured TrippyThaKid. This song I became obsessed with this track almost immediately as well. Not only was the track behind it good, but so was the rapping. I gave this track a 10 too.
I thought I would get tired of strictly EDM, but I haven’t yet. The next track that played was “Welcome” which was good, but not one of my favorite tracks by ZCR. I rate it a 7, though I did like it.
“Lost My Mind” was another track that featured TrippyThaKid. I, so far, have liked the songs that feature him, so I was excited about this one. And, it was very good. So, I rate it a 10 as well, I am also interested in studying TrippyThaKid as an artist more.
The eighth track that played was “Set Opener” I always find intros to be important, so hearing one on this shuffle was exciting for me. I liked it a lot and definitely would be into the set if that was the inro. I gave it a 10.
A new feature was on the next track that I listened to, QL1X, although I did like this song and I appreciate the diversity in the artists by ZCR, this was not one of my favorite tracks by ZCR, but it was good, so I still gave it a 7.
“BOP IT” was the track that I ended my deep dive with. Yes, it was a good song, and it may just be because for the past hour or so I have only heard ZCR’s music, but this one seemed too similar to others, so I gave it a 5.
UPDATE: I have an interview planned with ZCR, so stay tuned for that article!
