This is the fourth part of my series where I have been covering some of my favorite songs from January that I believe will be also brought into my February rotation. The past three parts will be under this blog post.
Many Men (Wish Death) - 50 Cent: This song, ever since I was a small child, has always been a favorite, I did not start listening to it again until recently, but I am so glad that I did.
Martin & Gina - Ayofvr, Jaden: Jaden, I believe, is one of the most talented nepo babies that we have, and I missed music from him, so when I heard this song and it was just perfect, I knew it had to be in the rotation.
Memory Lane - Old Dominion: I never listened to that much Old Dominion, to be honest, but after hearing this song, it made me want to explore them more as artists. This is a song that truly does make me feel good.
New York - Steve Aoki, Regard, mazie: I have always been a huge fan of Steve Aoki, so when I saw that this song came out, I was excited about it. I do not know Regard or mazie but I think they did an incredible job on this track.
Nights - Frank Ocean: So in January, I did a deep dive on Frank Ocean, and this song was in it, and I was reminded of what a classic this song is. Frank, I would give up all my toes if you drop new music.
No Stealing -Wax Motif: This is very much an EDM track in the way that you would see at the club, which is why I am obsessed with it. I can not wait for darty season because I know it will be at every party.
On Wat U On - Moneybagg Yo, Glorilla: I think Moneybagg Yo and Glorilla’s music have the same energy so I was excited for the release of a single from the two of them, and honestly, it was better than what I expected, shockingly.
Overdose - Finesse2tymes: This is another one of the few songs that are from TikTok where I believe the whole song is good. Finesse2tymes is an incredibly talented rapper and I can not wait to see what is in store for him in 2023.
REGRET WHAT YOU FORGET - Taz: Taz is one of my favorite rappers, he is incredibly underrated but I think that everyone should go listen to him so you can say you were a fan before he blew up.
Revolution - John Summit: This is another song that I believe will dominate the darty season, as well as several remixes of it. I do not know that much about John Summit, but I am excited to know more about his work.
Rey Mysterio - Boobie Lootavelli: I think it is very known that I am a huge fan of Boobie Lootavelli. This song is older, but it is one of my favorite tracks ever from him which is why it will stay in rotation.
Rey Mysterio Remix - Pouya, Boobie Lootavelli: Similarly to the track I just mentioned, the Pouya remix of Rey Mysterio is just as good, so it stayed in the rotation this past month and I believe it will stay in future months.
