I discovered NOLANBEROLLIN from a feature that he did with Mackned as well as I did Cold Hart. I also thought he would be interesting to explore which is why I did this deep dive today.
“HONDA BIKE” was the first track that I listened to from him and I was obsessed immediately. I knew that this deep dive was going to be a good one just based on this one track. So, I gave it a 10.
The second song that played was “RUNESCAPER” which was also a good song. I like that the two songs that I listened to so far from NOLANBEROLLIN were both songs that were only him because I get to know him more as an artist. I gave this song a 10.
I was attached to “PERSCRIPTION/8 AM” the minute that I heard the intro. When I have a song like that on my shuffle, I love it. And I also liked having a track that was just him. I gave this song a 10 too.
“AC RITE” was the next song that played. I was immediately obsessed with it as well. The way that NOLANBEROLLIN’s music can get you attached almost immediately is so wild to me. There are very few artists that have this ability. This song is a 10.
The fifth song that played was “COOLIN”. I think one reason I like NOLANBEROLLIN so much is his voice. It reminds me of Night Lovell who also happens to be one of my other favorite artists. This song was a 10 too.
I like two back-to-back songs from the same album because they can show the album's vibe, so “BLISS” being next was exciting to me. Although I did like the song, the beeps annoyed me so that makes me give it an 8.
“NERD THUG” was the next track that played. It was also the first song that came up on my shuffle that had a feature, the feature was Captain Crunch. But, honestly, I did not love this song compared to some of his other work so I gave it a 5.
The eighth song that I listened to was “LABORATORY” which was another song that was solely NOLANBEROLLIN but I do enjoy those tracks so I didn’t mind I ended up loving this track so I gave it a 10.
A different feature was on the next track, “BITCOIN” which featured moistbread who is another artist that I had not listened to until now. But I did end up enjoying this track, and it made me want to explore more about moistbread. So I gave it a 10.
“GAP” was the last song that I listened to on this deep dive, and the intro had me hooked immediately. One thing about NOLANBEROLLIN is that his intros never miss, and that is truly a talent. I gave this song a 10 too.
