JAWNY

JAWNY was an artist I was interested in because I was obsessed with the song I knew from him was one of my top songs. So, I decided I wanted to look into him more as an artist since I liked one song so much.

“Honeypie” went viral on TikTok fast, and it is one of my favorite feel-good songs, and was the reason I wanted to check him out more as an artist. So this had to be the song I started with. Of course, it was a 10.

The energy of “Trigger Of Love” was good, but it was the exact opposite of “Honeypie” but somehow, I still enjoyed it. JAWNY’s ability to be diverse but to be in the same niche is so cool, I gave this song a 10 as well.

I was thrown off by the intro at first, but “When I Fall Apart” ended up being one of my new favorite songs, it may just be because I am sad right now but I do not want to rely on that fact. I gave this song a 10 too.

“Wide-eyed” was the fourth song that played, and although I liked it, it reminded me of when pop singers attempted to be indie, so I wasn’t big on this track, so I gave it a 6, but I still like JAWNY a lot.

The fifth song I listened to, saved me though. “Take It Back” was such a good song. It gave me the energy of if Harry Styles did rock, with a little bit of indie energy which is a super cool vibe. I gave it a 10.

At first, I was thrown off by the initial energy of “Nvrllylly” but, as I truly listened to it, I began to love it, for me it was just very different from what I usually thought of from JAWNY, but I liked it enough to give it a 7.

“Strawberry chainsaw” is one of JAWNY’s most streamed songs, it is fifth on his Spotify, and I did enjoy it, but it just was too typical-indie for me, so for my rating, I am going to give it a 5 because it sounds like every other bitch.

The eighth song that I listened to was “Her Bangs”. The song channeled the same energy as “Nvrllyrlly” which I liked because I enjoy a uniform concept within albums, but I liked this song a lot better than I did the other, so I gave it a 10.

Having a great intro for a song is important because it defines how people are going to feel about it from the beginning, and the intro for “Patty” had me hooked immediately so I also rated it a 10.

“Tombstone Grey” was the song that I ended this deep dive with,  which I also became obsessed with immediately. I was shocked because it seemed a little more basic when thinking of a JAWNY song, but I liked it.
