Everyone who follows me or reads my posts knows the chokehold that the Idaho Murders have had over me over the past few months, so in this article, I am going to be covering new information as more and more unravels.
Xana’s mother opposes the death penalty. Now, this is interesting because both of Kaylee’s parents do approve of the death penalty, and it is on the table as a possible sentence for Bryan Kohberger, but everyone on the prosecution does have to agree on something like the death penalty because it is so extreme. It makes me curious about which family will shift and what the Chapins and the Mogens perspective is involving the death penalty because although Bryan will be not tried for anything until June, it makes me curious to see over the next 5 months what compromise the two families will come to.
The University of Idaho students start a fundraiser by selling bracelets in honor of the victims. This is one of the more beautiful things that have come out of the murders, it is things like these during this time that make it peaceful. I also believe that fundraising is beneficial to keep the case alive. Although I highly doubt that this case will ever die, especially in a community like this one. This fundraising keeps it alive. This also, I believe, is good for the families because it shows how loved the victims were.
Kaylee’s family reveals why they believe their daughter called her ex-boyfriend. Apparently, for months, they had been wanting to get back together. This makes me so sad when I think about this, it is like the saddest love story, like if this were a movie on Netflix, it would send me into absolute shambles. The family also discusses how healthy their relationship was, so contradicting what some initially thought, this was a good relationship.
Ethan Chapin’s family updates how they are feeling and what they are doing to cope and just an update on the family. My heart also aches for this family because I can not imagine the pain that they are going through, especially his 2 siblings, as they were triplets. I know we see a lot of Kaylee’s family but I enjoy hearing from the other families because they are just as important and deserve so much love and support.
The gag order is extended again. I have discussed this gag order a lot in several of my articles, and my opinion will always be the same. I will always understand why the gag order is in place, not only for the sake of the police force, but for the sake of the victim’s families and friends, and I believe that there are things that need to be kept private to protect them, and sometimes it does suck that we can not get the answer to every question we have right now, but the case is about the victims and the perpetrator, not the general public.
D.M. says that she knew it was Bryan by his eyebrows. This is so insane to me that she knew off the bat that it was him solely based on his bushy brows. That is so insane to me that just off the top that was what she remembered this one thing about him, and it truly led the police to find Bryan Kohbereger. I do not think I will ever put her name in my articles until she is involved, like in the trial, because if they kept it private on an important document like the affidavit, who am I to release it?
