Analyzing January 2023
The first month of the year, was a weird one, and y’all can blame it on the stars or whatever, but this world is just messy in general, so I am going to give you all my opinions on some of the things that happened because I like to do that.
Hailey Bieber Nepo Baby shirt: Now, the world’s only concern is Nepo babies, and for what reason, I am not sure, they have always been there, but I guess TikTok was getting boring again so the world’s response was to discover nepo babies and shit on them. But, of course, whenever that happens, celebrities try to get themselves involved in what the internet is focusing on, so Hailey wore a nepo baby shirt, and everyone rolled their eyes because that is cringe. It would be like if I walked in the streets with a shirt that says “Taco Bell Employee”, fuck no. That’s not even kind of funny or ironic, because it is true. Hailey tried and fumbled the bag.
Lisa Marie Presley passed away: This is so sad to me. She was such an icon, and I think another reason I take it so personally is it reminds me of Cameron Boyce dying but like for my parents. My mom talked about how she was loved. It also makes my heart ache for Priscilla, because not only has she buried her husband in a tragic matter, her grandson in a tragic matter but now her only daughter. I can not imagine the pain that this woman is feeling.
Zoey 102 movie was announced: I already know that this movie is going to be so fucking bad that it isn't even funny. There will be no way that this turns out well. If Chase and Zoey get married though, and Jamie Lynn Spears and Sean Flynn play Chase, I do not care to see it. Also, the slight chance of seeing Victoria Justice on my screen makes me so sick to my stomach that it is not ok.
“Velma” by Mindy Kaling is released, and everyone hates it: For me, this is sad. I think Mindy Kaling is talented and she is a great producer, for example, “The Sex Lives Of College Girls” is a great show it is one of my favorite shows, and I can not wait for season 3. But “Velma” sucked. I do not know what happened with it but I believe that is a project that she just needs to let go of.
Miley Cyrus released “Flowers”: This was what the people needed and Miley knew that. She gave us the best single-girl banger, something we all needed, and it wasn’t cliche like Dua Lipa made it or something, it was genuinely a good song. Also, seeing Miley Cyrus be healthy and happy makes me feel so good. I have been a fan of hers since I was about 5 years old, and I have supported her no matter what. I truly do adore her with everything in me.
