Alex Murdaugh Trial Update
I decided to be annoying and break this into two parts because I did have a lot that I wanted to talk about with you all and I know you all do not mind in the slightest, but this part is going to be the part that features Ronnie Crosby and Megan Fletcher’s testimonies. I decided to focus more on Jeanne in the first article because there was a lot attached to her testimony and I wanted to cover everything in it. But, Ronnie’s testimony also learned a lot so I wanted you all to be able to consume that information separately as well, and forensically, Megan Fletcher’s testimony was very beneficial for this case.
Ronnie Crosby returns to the stand. My dream came true!!! He denied that he ever thought that he tried to hide income as in the case of the boat crash. He said, “oh fuck no he did not”. When asked about his relationship with Paul, Ronnie became very emotional. The minute he heard about the murders, he went to the property, around 11 pm, and stayed til 3:30 am, but left to get sleep. He also said in the Snapchat video, the three voices were Paul, Alex, and Maggie. Although he was not there for the meeting where Alex was confronted about the missing money, he said he heard that Alex confessed to stealing the money.
Megan Fletcher was the next witness to take the stand. She works for SLED as a forensic evidence scientist and discussed gun residue. Gunshot residue was found on both sleeves of the shirt. In her opinion, these clothes were either near a discharged item or were by something with gunshot residue on it. One particle of gunshot residue was found on his hands. This means it is usually object transfer, or in the proximity of a gunshot. Several particles were found on the rain jacket. She said it presents that there was a potential that a gun was wrapped in it. Now I got to learn a lot about gunshot residue which was super fun to me because I love learning new things, but I was wondering because the clothes were washed, will that take the particles away? I would assume so but I just want confirmation, so if you are a gunshot residue person, please let me know so I do not continue to look stupid.
