Tyler, The Creator

  Tyler is probably one of the biggest artists I have decided to listen to. I used to be into Tyler a long time ago but I haven’t listened to him recently at all which is why I chose to analyze his music today. 

The song I started with was “See You Again”. Spotify calls this Tyler’s most popular song and that does not shock me whatsoever. This song is huge and Kali Uchis’ feature is incredible. I gave this song a 9. 

“PUPPET” was what played next. I listen to this song often, but I don’t think it is one of Tyler’s best songs, I may be biased because I do have a soft spot for Tyler’s old music. But, I did end up rating this song an 8. 

Now, the next song is perfect in my opinion. “OKRA” is probably one of my favorite Tyler, The Creator songs and it has been that way since the song came out. This song is an easy 10 for me. 

The fourth song I listened to was “Answer”. I don’t remember listening to this song before but I did enjoy it, but I would not consider it one of my favorite Tyler songs, so I rated it a 9, which isn’t bad at all.

From the Grinch album, “Hot Chocolate” played, being that it is Christmas, this song playing is very fitting. I liked this song a lot, and I was excited for another feature although I do not know Jerry Pepper. I gave this a 10.

Next was a classic Tyler song for me. “SMUCKERS” used to be my favorite Tyler song, I still like it, I just listen to it a lot less. I also like the Lil Wayne and Kanye West features. This song is easily a 10 for me.

 The seventh song I listened to was 435 which also channeled old Tyler energy, so I enjoyed this song. One thing I like about Tyler is all his music is uniform, but you get to see him evolve as an artist as he ages which I enjoy. I gave this song a 9.

“Enjoy Right Now, Today” is a very underrated song from the “Flower Boy” album. It is probably my favorite from this album and I believe it deserves a lot more love than it receives so I rate it a 10.

“48” played afterward and it reminded me why “Wolf” is one of my favorite Tyler, The Creator albums. This song I had forgotten about but I am glad that it played. This song I can easily rate this a 10 because it is so good. 

I ended my deep dive with a classic, so I could not be happier. “B.S.D” which features Jasper Dolphin and Taco has always been one of my favorite Tyler songs so I am glad it played during this. This song is another easy 10. 

Doing this deep dive made me so happy. I think Tyler is one of the top artists of this generation and deserves all the credit that he has received for his work so far. My ending rating for Tyler, The Creator was an 8.6 which didn’t shock me at all.
