PARTYNEXTDOOR

  Probably one of my favorite R&B artists from middle school and high school, I decided to deep-dive into PARTYNEXTDOOR today. I have not listened to PARTYNEXTDOOR in a long time so I decided today was the day.

The first song I started with is an absolute classic. “Recognize” is probably one of my favorite songs I have ever listened to so I had to start there. It also has a Drake feature so that makes it even better. I gave this song a 10. 

I had never heard the song “GIRL FROM OAKLAND” before, but I enjoyed the song a lot. PARTYNEXTDOOR has a very distinct vibe with his music and he is very consistent with what he does. I gave this song a 10. 

Off the same album as one of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s biggest hits, “Come And See Me” came “Don’t Run”. I had never heard this song before but I enjoyed it. I ended up rating this song a 10 as well. 

From the same album as “GIRL FROM OAKLAND” was “JUS KNOW” and I was excited about this song because it had a Travis Scott feature, but I did not love this song like I had previous PARTYNEXTDOOR songs, I rated this one a 6. 

The next song I gave a listen to was “Bout It”. This song channeled the same vibe as “Recognize” so seeing a uniform vibe in albums is good to see in my opinion. So when it came to rating this song, I gave it a 9. 

“Problems & Selfless” was the next song that came on, and nothing will be able to beat “Recognize” for me, but let me tell you, this song came very close. I ended up rating this song a 10 as well. I am shocked by how much I have been liking PARTYNEXTDOOR. 

Going off the excitement of “Problems & Selfless”, I was very excited for “SLS”, and let me tell you this song did not disappoint in the slightest, I did not like it as much but I ended up giving it an 8. 

I am so glad I decided to dive into PARTYNEXTDOOR because the next song I listened to was amazing as well. Titled “Grown Woman”, this song gave interlude energy in the best way possible. I would rate it a 7.

The next song was titled “THINGS & SUCH” but honestly, I did not really like this song. Compared to everything else that I have listened to from PARTYNEXTDOOR so far, this wasn't that good. I rated it a 6.

The final track that I listened to on my PARTYNEXTDOOR adventure was, “TBH”, this song was so good, from what I can tell the self-titled album is probably PARTYNEXTDOOR’s best album. I rated this song a 10. 

As I finish my dive into PARTYNEXTDOOR, I end with my final score of 8. I think that this is the best score I’ve given so far and to be honest, I really didn’t think I would like PARTYNEXTDOOR this much but, here we are!
