The Military Bowl Presented By Peraton takes place at Navy-Maarine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. The two teams that played this year were Duke and UCF. MY pick for the win went to UCF.
Duke came out strong in the first quarter when Jacquez Moore got a touchdown for them, but UCF was able to answer with Isaiah Bowser getting a touchdown. I did predict this would be a close matchup, so a start to a game like this was fun to see.
Duke though, was able to dominate in the second quarter. Their kicker, Todd Pelino, got a field goal. Then, Riley Leonard got a touchdown on behalf of Duke. And finally, Todd Pelino got his second field goal of the game.
Duke also ran the third quarter with Todd Pelino getting his third field goal of this game. The outcome of this game was incredibly different than what I initially had expected it to look like, but it is nice to see Duke have a successful year in football.
UCF was able to come out with a strong beginning in the fourth quarter, Isaiah Bowser got his second touchdown, but their attempted 2-point conversion failed. Duke answered with Riley Leonard getting his second touchdown of the game.
