Lil Peep

Lil Peep was one of my top Soundcloud rappers when that era was so big. I feel like I am pretty knowledgeable about him and his music so I decided that doing a deep dive would be fun because I understand him well.

The first song I started with was “Save That Shit” which Spotify considers being his third biggest song. I enjoy this song and always have since it came out so for me I gave it a 10, even though I know a lot of people aren’t big on this song because it is considered mainstream.

“Better Off (Dying)” was the next song that played, it is off the same album as “Save That Shit” which I believe is Peep’s best album, but I do not consider this track to be one of the best off of it, but I like it enough to give it a 7.

My favorite love song came next, “worlds away” has always been one of my favorite lil peep songs and since I do this by putting the music on shuffle, I never know what to expect, and a result like this, makes me happy, This is an easy 10.

The fourth song that played was “right here”. I do not have any recollection of this song at all but I did like it enough, and I don’t think I know Horsehead, but I am here for this feature. I gave this song a 9.

“Kiss” came on next, and I do like this song, but the intro always reminds me of those reverb+slowed down audios on TikTok which is super corny to me. I like the rest of this song though so I will give it an 8.

“Toxic City” played next and for me, this is one of those tracks where it was just something small that was blown to make into a full song so the people of his estate could make money, for this it is an easy 5.

The seventh song that played was “Broken Smile (My All)” I know this song, and I like it, but the dollhouse vibe beat at the beginning behind the track always makes me feel a little eery which makes me take a point off with this track and give it a 9.

“Big city blues” is the type of song that makes me want a boyfriend. So that can be a good or a bad thing. Because it is lil peep, I guess we can say for this one, a good thing. I also like Cold Hart so my rating for this is a 10.

“Witchblades” is a lil peep classic, and it features lil Tracy who I love and adore with my entire heart and soul. He gets so much slander but I do not care he is my baby forever, despite the song being mainstream now, it is a 10 for me.

I ended this track with “Honestly” which isn’t one of my favorite peep tracks in the slightest so needless to say I was a little disappointed when Spotify chose to end this deep dive with this song. I give it a 6.

Doing this dive was fun even if I was familiar with a majority of the songs I was listening to. My end rating for peep ended up being an 8.4 which doesn’t shock me because the songs I either knew and loved or knew and hated.

THANK YOU FOR 800 PAGES VIEWS!!
