Similar, to blackbear, I decided to explore the artist known as JBrisko. His song had come out in a playlist I had made that was supposed to be similar playlist to one I had previously listened to.
The first song I started with was the one that I knew, “9 Tailz” which features YZM, because this song was the reason I decided to do a deeper dive into JBrisko as an artist, I am going to start by giving him a 10.
The next song that came on was “Everybody Type” which featured Traap. My honest opinion of this song is not that great. It reminded me of Trippie Redd but in the worst way possible. I gave it a 6.
After “Everybody Type” it was “Purple on Purple”. So far, I am impressed by the diversity of JBrisko as an artist who is very beneficial when I score, I also did enjoy this song a lot so I rated it an 8.
The next Jbrisko song that came on my shuffle was “Cooler Now” which featured Kidgrand. This song gave me DC The Don energy and as a huge fan of his, it is cool to see a similar style. I gave this song a 9.
The next track that came on was “Flashback”. In all honesty, I did not like the intro to this song which threw me off for the rest of the track. It reminded me of “7 AM” by Lil Uzi Vert but it was not done properly. I rated this song a 2.
The next song I listened to was “Heaven 33”. This was a really good song and it gave the Lil Uzi Vert but in a way that I liked, so not like “Flashback”. But, this was not my favorite JBrisko song so far so I rated it a 7.
After “Heaven 33” was “Goin’ Far” which featured C Bane and Stp.Freddo. Although I did not know who the two features were, I did like this song as well as the features. So, for my score for this song I gave it an 8.
Since we had two good songs in a row, I kept my hopes up that all things came in three with the next track, and the result was another good track! The song was “Coincidental”. This song was a lot more vibe-based compared to previous tracks so I gave it an 8.
Though, after “Coincidental” was “Krueger” which also featured Traap. This was the second song that featured Traap that I listened to from JBrisko and I was not big on this track either. I rated it a 5.
“Skyfall” came on after and I liked this song a lot. It was not one of my favorite of his tracks because it aspired to be vibe music but somehow missed the mark. For this track, I will have to rate it a 7 because I liked the attempt.
The final track I listened to was “Have It” which also featured Traap. But surprise! I liked this one! I thought it was the vibe music that JBrisko was trying to create but it was working now. I rate this song a 10.
My final evaluation of Jbrisko gives him a final score of 7.3. In all honesty, I had no idea what to expect so this is not a bad final score for an artist that I went in knowing nothing about. I would listen to him again.
