Hometown Lenders Bahamas Bowl

As promised here I am writing literal full-blown articles for every bowl game this year. This is the first day of the Bowl Season and our first game is Miami Ohio vs. UAB in Nassau at the Hometown Lenders Bahamas Bowl. I have written my prediction for each game but I will reincorporate it now. I want UAB to win as I do live in the state of Alabama and I also despise Ohio.

I am starting this article at 8:34 am, so way before this game, but I wanted to include that ESPN has that it is a 76.7% chance that UAB wins, this is exciting to see UAB do so well in football. I will keep you all posted as the game starts.

As we come to the end of the first, UAB is beating Miami Ohio 10-0. This is exactly the score I want to see. Early in the game having Dylan Hopkins pass to Trea Shropshire to make a touchdown was a beneficial move. Both of these players have had incredible years so far, which is good to see. Then Matt Quinn hit his field goal, he’s a good kicker, it’s what he does, I don’t think I need to sit here and go in depth about a kicker because he simply just did his job.

In the second quarter, Aveon Smith threw a pass to Mac Hippenhammer which allowed them to get a touchdown, but their field goal kick got blocked. We should be past the age of getting our field goal kicks blocked, but that's okay. As we go into the half, the score is 6-10 UAB, which is the score I want.

The third quarter got a little interesting when Miami (Ohio) got ahead. Kevin Davis ran the ball in for a touchdown. For Miami (Ohio) to be ahead is exciting them but this does not define the game, that was about all that happened this quarter so this paragraph is short.

The fourth quarter got a little exciting. Jermaine Brown got a touchdown in early for this quarter. Then, later Miami (Ohio) answered with a touchdown and Aveon Smith passed to Kenny Tracy for a touchdown. But, Jermaine Brown ran in a touchdown in the last two minutes which gave UAB the win!

BOWL COUNT: 1/1
