The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl is played at Albertson Stadium in Boise, Idaho. The two teams playing this year are Eastern Michigan and San Jose State. For this game, I picked San Jose State solely on the terms that I hate the state of Michigan.
I was super down for the first half. Chevan Cordeiro got a touchdown at the beginning of the game. Then, Justin Lockhart got a touchdown giving San Jose State a huge advantage in the beginning. Then Eastern Michigan answered with a 2-point conversion which of course wasn’t enough to get them that far, but they did get a touchdown after that.
Eastern Michigan dominated the second quarter. Darius Lassiter got a field goal for them. Then, Samson Evans proceeded to get a second touchdown which put Eastern Michigan ahead. Then at the end of the quarter, Darius Lassiter got a touchdown.
Eastern Michigan also started the third quarter strong, Jesus Gomez got a field goal. But, finally, San Jose State was able to answer with a touchdown, putting them back into this game. Eastern Michigan though answered with a touchdown on the behalf of Jaylon Jackson and also got a two-point conversion.
In the fourth quarter, San Jose State did get a touchdown, but this was not enough for them to win this game. The ending score was 41-27 which was disappointing for me because I was rooting for San Jose State.
BOWL COUNT: 7/11
