TaxAct Texas Bowl

The TaxAct Texas Bowl takes place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The two teams that played this game this year were Ole Miss and Texas Tech. My pick for this game went to Texas Tech because they played better than Ole Miss this year.

Texas Tech came out strong in this first quarter with a touchdown on behalf of Tyler Shough, but Ole Miss responded with a touchdown on behalf of Zach Evans, which Texas Tech quickly responded to with a field goal on behalf of Trey Wolff.

Texas Tech was also able to dominate the second quarter with Tyler Shough getting his second touchdown of the game and then Trey Wolff getting his second field goal of the game, and then Jerand Bradley getting a touchdown after that.

Ole Miss was able to control the third quarter with Jordan Watkins getting a touchdown, but as someone who is an SEC fan, this is an upsetting game to watch because I did have hope for Ole Miss and they just didn’t come through.

The fourth quarter though did become fun. SaRodorcick Thomas got a touchdown for Texas Tech, but their attempted 2-point conversion failed. But, Trey Wolff was able to get his third field goal of this game. Ole Miss responded with two touchdowns though, one on behalf of Jaxon Dart, and their 2-point conversion failed, and then one on behalf of Malik Heath, then, Texas Tech’s Loic Fouonji got a touchdown which made their win even bigger.

BOWL COUNT: 15/26
