RIP Alabama

As the biggest advocate for the Crimson Tide, this weekend was pitiful. I hate everything about the University of Tennessee and have received quite a lot of slander myself. In  this article, you will read a lot about the game itself as well as the outcome of the game.

First off, as stated on Athlon Sports, this game was the most viewed this season, as stated in this article, “The SEC announced Tuesday that 11.557 million viewers tuned in to watch the Volunteers' thrilling 52-49 upset of the Crimson Tide.”. People live for the downfall of the University of Alabama.

Although A LOT came out of this event, one controversy in the media right now is Jermaine Burton. UGA transfer was found striking a girl and she took the video straight to TikTok. In the Sports Illustrated article, Nick Saban commented about this, their source being BamaCentral, “‘We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday,” Saban said, via BamaCentral. “We are currently working to gather more information.’”. The behavior of an athlete held in this high regard is disappointing but knowing Saban, he knows how to handle the team and its behavior.

This game, for an Alabama fan, was incredibly upsetting, but, I’ll be damned. I blame it on the stupid “what you looked like when Alabama last beat Tennessee” Instagram trend. I know though that the SEC Network is looking at the bag they received from the views going this high, so they are not suffering. Props to anyone there right now. Enjoy your bonus. But, also as an Alabama fan, watching athletes behave in an unprofessional manner like presented postgame is also incredibly upsetting.
